With the recent inauguration of his luxury retreat in Marrakech, called Riad Meriem, he enters the world of exotic, upscale hoteliers. Hays' vision for the Riad's design was all in the details. Thomas Hays, who has spent years traveling extensively in Asia and Africa set out in search of collectible pieces that would bring character and charm throughout the place. "I'm constantly attracted to the stories behind different objects, so I wanted to show antiquity with a modern feel," he explains.
